Auto repair in Clovis, CA
We fix cars in our own bay at 1222 Barstow Ave, for customers across Clovis and Fresno. Below is what the common jobs actually cost around here — with the source and the date we checked it, which is more than any other shop on this street will tell you. Diagnostic time is billed at $125 per hour, and we tell you what we found before we touch anything else.
We publish what things cost
Most shops around here will not put a number on a page. We do, with the source we got it from and the month we checked it.
We can buy it instead
We are a repair shop and a used car dealer in one building. If fixing it is throwing good money after bad, we will say so and make you an offer.
Cars other shops turn away
Non-running, no-start, salvage title, older trucks. We recondition our own stock, so awkward jobs are normal here.

Repair FAQ
- How much do you charge to diagnose a problem?
- Diagnostic time is billed at $125 per hour, and we tell you what we found before we touch anything else.
- Do you work on cars that do not run?
- Yes, every week. Non-running cars, no-starts and cars that have been sitting are normal work for us because we recondition our own inventory. If it will not move under its own power it still needs to get here, and there is a tow option below.
- Can you tow my car to your shop?
- Shako Towing, our sister company at the same address, can bring it in — call them on (559) 270-5796. Shako Towing runs Mon–Sat 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM, closed Sunday.
- Do you do mobile or roadside repair?
- No. Everything we do happens in our own bay at 1222 Barstow Ave, where we have the lift and the tools. Roadside and mobile truck work is a different business.
- What if the repair costs more than the car is worth?
- Then we tell you, and you have a second option most shops cannot offer: we will make you an offer on the car the same day. That is the whole reason people bring us the awkward decisions.
- Do you do oil changes?
- That is not what we are set up for — the quick-lube chains do it faster and cheaper than we could. We are here for the jobs that need diagnosis and a lift.
Diesel pickup or work truck? See what we do with diesels. Or call us at (559) 420-8300. Need it towed in first? That is handled by our sister company, Shako Towing, not by us.
